Amouage - Interlude Black Iris Man
In 2012 Amouage launched the fragrance Interlude. With Interlude Black Iris Man, Amouage continues this extraordinary perfume story. If you imagine Interlude Man as a fragrance painting, Interlude Black Iris Man appears like a "painted over" version of the original perfume.
The Fragrance
The original composition was "painted over" with luminous facets from the perfumer's rich color palette: in the sparkling top note, rosemary and violet leaves flank the citric aroma of bergamot. In the heart of the perfume, the triad of amber, incense and cistus, already known from Interlude, is crowned by a buttery iris note - which is surrounded by a mysterious touch of vanilla and myrrh.
The iris is the pulsating heart of this Interlude variation. In its base, the signature dry-down of the original perfume echoes - with fine accents of leather, agarwood smoke, patchouli, sandalwood and cedarwood.
This eau de parfum by perfumer Pierre Negrin is a complex interplay of harmony and chaos, of dark stoic serenity and deeply buried, vibrating power gushing upwards into the light.
The Bottle
Amouage's iconic men's fragrance flacon is presented in rich and fascinating shades of midnight blue and black. The noble perfume bottle made of crystal glass is decorated with carefully crafted gun metal details - and a sapphire blue Swarovski crystal.
