His work as a perfumer led Egon Oelkers to Cannes, New York, Geneva, Paris and Hamburg, but personally influenced he was especially by his trips to Asia. There he met again and again the delicate spices, fruity notes and precious woods, which are also found in a subtle way in many of his fragrances.
Egon Oelkers now looks back on a career of more than 40 years - the skilled chemist began his apprenticeship as a perfumer in 1967 at the traditional company Haarmann & Reimer in Holzminden. Since then, Oelkers has not only caused a sensation with his scented creations, but also devoted himself with the same dedication to the education of junior perfumers.
Typical for Oelker´s compositions is their discreet luxury and the fine balance of scents. He often finds his inspirations in nature: while long walks through the mountains, for example... |
