Lalique - Noir Premier - Or Intemporel - 1888
Paris, on 1st August , 1888: a momentous date for René Lalique. Why? Because it was on this date that he incorporated the hallmark that was henceforth to adorn his jewelery: an emblem of his initials and the symbol of a sword. If there exists a true founding date of the house Lalique, then it is probably that of 1st August 1888.
Until that date, René Lalique had designed many pieces for other houses. But his career only really began in the moment when he put his own name to the brand - and then his brand became a legend. So, without a doubt, 1st August, 1888 is the golden date for the Lalique house. To pay tribute to this important date, Lalique has created a fragrance inspired by the most noble of materials - that is, gold. It is no wonder, then, that the bottle is all about the gold ...
The Fragrance
Or Intemporel (Timeless Gold) is a spicy oriental fragrance whose color spectrum skews towards the color of gold. It is a high-contrast olfactory interpretation of the noble precious metal that reads as both classic and modern, and is as elegant as it is sensual.
The push and pull aromas of brown, resinous, and aromatic tobacco and coffee evoke the opulence of gold and its irresistible attraction. This olfactory duet is accompanied by precious spices such as cardamom, nutmeg, and black pepper. The contrast between the warm tone of the gold and the coolness of the metal is represented by the hot and cool contrasts in this composition.
In the base, a gentle triad of vanilla, patchouli, and warm, cinnamon-flecked tolu resin provides the true luster of pure gold, and Or Intemporel finishes in a pool of golden light rivaling that of the precious metal itself.
