Isabey - Avant et Après
“Isabey inspires elegance, character and femininity. It was therefore interesting for me to compose a large bouquet of white flowers. What could be more feminine and sensual?” - Marie Schnirer, perfumer
In the 1930s there was already an Isabey fragrance called Avant et Après, which was released together with the perfumes Tendre Nuit and Prends-moi. This Avant et Après ("before and after") is a reinterpretation of the romantic theme of the merging of two hearts in love - and the question: "Who were they before?" And: "where will they go together"?
The fragrance
Avant et Après is a sunny, creamy flower composition with a narcotic quality. The floral fragrance is perfumer Marie Schnirer's Isabey debut - a sensual-feminine bouquet of white flowers with salty undertones of a fresh sea breeze.
Delicate orange blossoms, wonderful freesias and heavenly Arabian jasmine are bewitching the senses - while ylang, frangipani and tiare blossoms exude their irresistible exotic charms.
In the heart of the perfume flows noble monoi oil, which is traditionally made in French Polynesia from tiare flowers and coconut oil. The sweetness and intensity of the tiare blossoms is accentuated by delicious vanilla, benzoin, ambroxan and musk.
"I wanted", says perfumer Marie Schnirer, "to interpret a Monoï accord and Orange blossom in an elegant style, a contrasted scent oscillating between contemporary opulence and freshness. I was inspired by a walk along the seaside at dawn, the sensations of fresh wind caressing the face in the bright light of sunrise."
