The story of Amouage began in 1983 when his majesty, Sayyid Hamad bin Hamoud al bu Said of Oman decided to return the Arabian art of perfume making to its original home in the region. The perfume factory was built in the city of Muskat, Oman and today this factory still makes the handmade perfume flasks for Amouage. The French perfumer, Guy Robert, created the world’s most valuable perfume. He brought the experience of a long family tradition to the composition of Amouage.
