Creed - Fantasia de Fleurs - Splash Flacon
Apart from Fleurs de Bulgarie the Kaiserin Elisabeth “Sissi” of Austria chose Fantasia de Fleurs as her preferred perfume. It became the faithful companion of her beauty-case on her restless travels.
The empress was so delighted by the perfume that in 1875 Creed was officially appointed as the Royal Imperial perfumer. The Empress Elizabeth was born in 1837 and grew up in Munich; she was an avid reader and a passionate poet. After bearing the Emperor three children by the age of twenty-one, “Sissi” began more and more to develop her own character. With her intensive intellectual activities (reading, poetry and foreign languages) and her top sporting achievements (riding; side-saddle, gymnastics, running and swimming) she broke into male dominated areas.
She not only became known for her beauty, but also for her fashion sense, diet and exercise regimens, passion for riding sports, and a series of reputed lovers. She paid extreme attention to her appearance and would spend most of her time preserving her beauty. She often travelled mostly to Hungary and Greece, and was known to say. ” I would be unhappy if I had to stay in one place.” Her fantasy and creativity, her longing for foreign countries are perfectly expressed in Fantasia de Fleurs.
The scent is an effusive bouquet from 25 different blooms such as jasmine from Italy, roses from Bulgaria and Rose Absolu from Turkey.
