Creed - Vanisia - Splash Flacon
A fragrance creation from the House of Creed for one of the most pampered women of her time: Dona Maria Christina, queen of Spain. 1848 - it was a time of revolution in Europe. The uniting element of the revolutionary movements was the desire for a reorganization of the nation states on a democratic basis.
The "48ers" wanted the Republic, either with or without a King. The desire for freedom accompanied the desire for unity, especially in Germany, where the German federal government formed of 39 principalities and free cities would at last be replaced by one united nation. 23 years later, the dream of a united Germany became reality - but not as a result of popular sovereignty but mainly as a result of Prussian victories (founding of the German Reich 1871).
The composition of this fragrance is just as revolutionary as its birth year. The precious and exotic ingredients such as cinnamon from Ceylon or Patchouli, which first became popular with the high society in the 19th Century, was even for the pampered Queen of Spain a surprising and completely new association of wonderful chords.
