EDOUARD FLÉCHIER

Edouard Fléchier was born in Grasse in 1949 to a family well rooted in the trade. Very young, he showed an interest in high perfumery.
In 1967, he entered the Perfumery school of Roure Bertrand Dupont. There he studied with Marcel Carles (son of Jean Carles, the founder of the school, and of the famous Roure Method). According to his peers, even then he stood out as a phenomenon (as he was more sensitive to odors than anybody else).
First a perfumer for Roure in Grasse, he joined the Fine Fragrance department of the company in 1977, by the mid 80s he was one of France's star perfumers.
Frédéric Malle remembers, from the period they worked together at Roure Bertrand Dupont, what a remarkably precise perfumer he was. This precision is the fruit of a virtuoso technique and of a great ability to concentrate.
Today his trials continue to reach the lofty goals this amazing perfumer sets himself. |
