The Scent

Maison Martin Margiela’s first fragrance is finally launched after three years of developing its scent. Named ‘Untitled’, it fits perfectly to the brand’s no label approach. The overall minimal packaging design reflects on the scent as an Unisex fragrance. It is interesting to note, that the overall look and feel of the product was designed in collaboration with Fabien Baron, who was influenced by 19th Century glass stoppered bottles. And the cotton thread which is tied on by hand, resembles the famous four stitches seen on all Margiela’s garments.

The Flacon:

The minimalistic, nearly faceless, but phantasy-stimulative principle by Margiela has been transported to the flacon of his scent. Neutral but familiar -
A round closure, a neck with an ordinary, white but ornamental thread. Reduced to Max - simple but beautiful & impressive.

Heart: lentic, jasmine, galbanum,
Base: musc, cedarwood, incense
