Dr. Gregory Bays Brown combines the experience of plastic and reconstructive surgery with over 20 years of active research in his own laboratories. He is the only physician that has applied a biotechnical version of the Nobel Prize winning's EGF (Epidermal Growth Factor)* to a skin care series.
As a plastic and reconstructive surgeon with degrees from Harvard and Emory, Dr. Gregory Bays Brown knows the limits of instrumental intervention: An operation cannot restore the firm, youthful appearance of skin.
At the end of the 80s, Dr. Gregory Bays Brown, as part of a multi-million dollar study for the treatment of severe wounds from burn victims, founded the Bays Brown Laboratories. During his research, he came across the biotechnical molecule EGF, which, when applied, dramatically accelerated the healing process to the external wounds and burns of the patients tested. Further tests showed that E.G.F. can also be used for the regeneration of ageing skin cells. This intensive research work provided a molecular level basis in which the vitality of skin cells or youthful skin could be restored.

* E.G.F. (Epidermal Growth Factor) is a naturally occurring protein molecule that dramatically accelerates the regeneration of skin cells. For the discovery of E.G.F. the biochemist Stanley Cohen and the biologist Rita Levi - Montalcini received in 1986 the Nobel Prize for Medicine. The research findings of Dr. Gregory Bays Brown were published in 1989 in the 'New England Journal of Medicine'. The patent for E.G.F. was awarded to Dr. Gregory Bays Brown in 1994.
