Rice is like a backdrop, a rhythm that has been marking the passage of civilisations for thousands of years, constituting an element of union and the sharing of a harmony that goes beyond borders and races. A synonym of life, joy and prosperity, this priceless little plant stars in countless legends.

One of the best-known of these tells the tale of the wedding gift that the beautiful Retna Doumila (Radiant Joy) asked to receive from the Indian god Shiva: “good, nourishing food that would never leave people bored”. The god did not keep his promise, so Retna cast herself into the waters of the Ganges. Forty days later, from her tomb watered by the tears of a disconsolate Shiva, a little plant sprang forth bearing white grains. “All the beauty of Retna’s joy is enshrined in this plant” sentenced Shiva as he decided to give rice to humanity.

Positive, sweet and optimistic are the adjectives to describe the contents of this creation, whose heart of rice and cereals amalgamates with sparkling, spicy and warm notes.
