Farmacia SS. Annunziata

Farmacia SS. Annunziata
In 1561 the herbalist and chemist Domenico di Vincenzo di Domenico Brunetti, member of the Guild of Physicians and Drug- gists moved his shop to these premises that had been the quar- ter of a similar shop owned by the Benedictine Nuns of S.Nicolò. This is the first record mentioning the birth of the Farmacia SS. Annunziata.
The documents of this order vanished with the French occupa- tion of Tuscany at the beginning of the 19th century, and the a- pothecary passed from the nuns to various owners until it was acquired the Azzerlini family, who have managed the brand for three generations.
The apothecary which was documented in 1561 still exists, with white ceilings and dark wood shelves decorated with apothecary jars from the 1800’s. Although it preserves its old traditions, the pharmacy uses modern machinery and new materials to make fine, customized products.
These gorgeous scents were developed with a sense of tradition and an eye to what is fresh in the fragrance world and they are absolutely stunning and full of surprises.
